But dentists usually recommend it be taken out because its hard to clean and prone to cavities.

Gotta get it out. I went through it a while back. Make sure your dentist can do wisdom teeth extraction (Its minor dental surgery) and totally numbs you before taking it out. Then, pump yourself full of painkillers and go to sleep. Apply a cold compress (towel soaked in ice water) to your cheek. It’ll help with swelling. All thing going well, you’ll be fine in a day or two. Good luck!
