Thanks for the review. I have been a long term user of Shu Uemura Cleansil Oil and I swear by it. And I have recommended it to many people. I have never wanted to try another cleansing oil. I too got a few samples of BB Cleansing Oil (you can guess what a heavy user of BB I am by the fact that they gave me a couple of samples). I found them equally effective but still stuck to my SU…but after reading your review, maybe I will be brave enough to switch to BB…

I have oily-combination skin and I must say I have never felt any oily residue on my skin after using SU.

My advice to others — if you are a heavy user of make-up, its important to have a very good cleanser that is effective and quick. So it is worthwhile to invest in SU or BB because they remove both foundation and eye make-up.

I feel that Bobbi Brown is superior than Shu Uemura in the sense of Shu Uemura is made of mineral oil, while BB olive oil.

However, one thing I don’t like about BB is that it stings my eyes when I use to remove my eye make up.

Thank you for this comparison. I was actually at the BB counter today and almost bought the cleansing oil, but I stopped myself because I wanted to do more research to see which one is better, shu vs. BB. I think I will go back soon to get the BB one. I like the no oily feeling part.

I bought a bottle of SHU CO due to all the hype and it works great at removing makeup but it feels oily. Eventually it caused some oil/milia seed on my face =.=

Tried BB CO sample and it feels really great!

This review is just what I was looking for! Just discovered BB’s Cleansing Oil online and wondered, if it was any better than Shu Uemura’s. Can’t wait to order it now. 🙂

Just would like to share some feeback about shu umera. I have been using 4 bottles.. I feel that’s the best cleansing oil. And recently I know BB has newly launch the cleansing oil. With the above demo.. i think i will check out BB cleansing oil. But would like to recommend S.U eye liner..

eve: oh, the eyeliner i used was stila smudgepot, yes waterproof, and mascara too. I wouldn’t say shu is bad, it is just not working as good as the BB for me =)

Hi,
I would like to ask if the make-up you’re using on this test above is waterproof or not cause i always use waterproof products so i would like to have them cleanse clearly as well.
Also, is Shu Umera that bad?

After reading your post, I quickly tried out the sample bottle I have and I agree with you….this is love at 1st use for me. I’ll review it in my blog later.
