A while ago when The Body Shop released the new beatifying oil – I was really thrilled and immediately picked up one in strawberry to try out.
Beautifying Oil is pure beauty in a bottle. Made with a lightweight blend of nut oils including Community Fair Trade marula oil, it gives instant hydration and a shimmering finish. This one has a sweet strawberry scent.
Made with a couple of oils such as the kukui nut oil, sweet almond oil and marula oil, it’s light weight yet quite moisturizing. It has a sweet strawberry fragrance but not cloyingly sweet like the body lotion.
I would consider it to be an all-rounder oil because it can be used for face, body and hair! However, I don’t like it as much as my other face oil but it does work well as a body and hair oil.
I find that it’s best to apply after bath when our skin is still moist, it absorbs better without leaving greasiness behind. As for hair, if you apply it while the hair still damp, it helps to moisturize well. However, if you apply it on dry hair, it feels really oily.
The best way to apply is – dispense an adequate amount for your body, massage it gently onto skin, and for the remains on your palm, apply it on your hair ends. The key is, less is more. I don’t think it creates a shimmering effect, it’s probably the oil effect that resembles shimmer.
Overall, I think it’s a rather decent multi purpose oil without breaking the bank. Even with daily use, 100ml seems to last very long. I think it has a total of 11 flavors, but in Malaysia, only about 6 flavors available. This is something that will go traveling with me because with just one product, I can use it for face, hair and body!

Hello Xin! I didn’t know TBS released yummily scented body oils! Will hit the store to check the scents out when I get a chance, thank you for reviewing this as I love body oils

i tried them earlier, i find it a bit too oily and takes a while to be absorb. no likey.
that said, the scents are actually pretty nice leh!

I have this and Moringa and I love it, it’s so versatile. It don’t like to use it on my face, but it works so well on my body and hair. It’s so moisturizing!

I think the only product that works best on me (in terms of dryness) is body oil! But even with super dry skin, greasiness is no no for me! So I’m not sure how I’ll feel with this! But ..in the first place though, I don’t see this product down here yet!

I’ve never heard of those oils before and I am intrigued! 100ml is a lot and goes a long way. I can use a 60ml bottle of jojoba oil once a day in winter on my legs for a month…I will have to check these babies out…

Mmm yes, I’m crazy about beautifying oils and this one sounds lovely! I like that the Body shop always has affordable natural options yet still has the good stuff (like the kukui nut oil). Thanks for the review!
