The Konad top coat doesn't work for me at all, smudges every time. I use Seche Vite it works the best, but can still smudge occasionally. Good luck every one!

Hi,

As for tip #2, there is also a double sided stamper.

I have a few suggestion that may increase your success with the image picking up on the stamp. It works for me just about every time.

1 Make sure that the surface you are working on is solid, like a tabletop or counter top. Do not work on a carpet or anything that is spongy. Not even a cardboard box.

Do not thickly fold up towels or paper towels underneath the plate or plate holder if you are using one. Use a thin towel or flat paper towel if you insist on using one. If the surface is too spongy, it won't work right.

Also, a warped plate may not work very well. You may be able to scrape into the contours of the warping rather than across it.

I'm a guy and I use this.

For the top coat, it helps to very lightly dab the top coat on the imgage then let it set for 2 minutes then apply it the way you normally would. The Konad brand doesn't smudge as badly but it's very expensive. Here in Canada it's like $10 for a measily 10ml when I can go spend $7 for 15ml bottle of Revlon and if you apply it like I said, it works very well.

Ingrid: before i bought my konad top coat, i was using normal top coat from various brands, but all of them smudge on me!
till i bought this, my print never smudges again :) love it! and of course, you have to wait a little while for the print to dry before painting on this topcat. this konad topcoat is actually slightly thicker than the normal one. hope this helps!

What other top coats did you use before using the Konad Top Coat?

I just ordered the Konad Top Coat, but I read somewhere else that it still smudged for them.

I was wondering if your top coats were thick or thin?

Thanks.
