A Mask A Day Keeps Dryness at Bay: The Skin Food Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil Mask Sheet

by xin on June 20, 2011

Good morning ladies :D It’s start of the week and I am sure everyone is feeling sluggish, but bright side is, it’s month end soon and it’s pay day!

On Sunday night, I prefer to hit the bed earlier than usual and enjoy a mask time. If it doesn’t help me feeling better, at least it helps my skin ;)

The Skin Food products are very popular in Korea and the prices are almost 40% lower than what we get here (unless we wait for the sales), so when a friend toured Korea, I just had to get something even though it was not a ‘need’. But heck, the more masks, the better!

Skin Food Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil Daily Mask Sheet

Different from the individual sheet masks, I picked up a box of Skin Food Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil Mask Sheet this time.

It comes in 20 pcs in the box, and it pulls out like the box tissue.

Sea Buckthorn Berry is a popular ingredient in vitamins, it is very nutritional and high in Vit C! I have read it somewhere that it is good for hair growth too.

It is sealed like any cleansing wipes. It looks like there is nothing I could do with the box once I am done with the mask.

The mask is quite moist but not dripping wet. I like it this way :D

The mask sheet is alright and not overly thin. And the fragrance is quite natural and not overwhelming. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes and massage in the essence. Then apply your moisturizer as per usual.

After using this mask, my skin feels more hydrated and supple. No brightening effect is observed though.

Although it is named as ‘daily’ mask sheet, but I only use it on alternate days. It is good to use it frequently to avoid the pack from drying up. So make sure you seal it back tightly after using it.

Overall, I quite like the concept of mask. It is the convenience of not having to think which to use :D

Being quite affordable at approximately <USD $0.50/sheet, it will definitively not break your bank!

Price: 9900KRW (~<USD$10) in Korea

Availability: In most Skin Food stores

The packaging is pretty and it’s good to know the mask works well too, although it’s too bad that it doesn’t brighten up skin. Thanks for the review.
