Finally! 3 weeks in a row having naked nails and I finally had the time to paint some colors.

Work is boring enough already, so, I thought it’d be cool to paint myself some colors.

Though the color is not really corporate friendly, but it is alright since they never set any rule in the employee handbook about nail colors right?

nail1

Firstly, take 2 REALLY bright colors of your choice and paint them on alternate fingers.

The neon green is from Etude House while the pink is from Revlon.

Let dry.

You can actually stop here and I believe the colors will make you smile already.

Or, if you would like to continue more, take the dotting tools and start using your imagination!

I was thinking about Mahjong tiles..hence the dots. (do’t ask me why)

Yeay! It is Wednesday already and I certainly can’t wait for weekends to come.

Looking out of my window (not referring to Windows XP/Vista), I see a blissful blue sky with clouds.

Can I paint my nails that way?

completed blue sky sponge nail art

Yes I can! And it is simple!

tools needed

First, prepare: nail base and top coat, blue nail polish, white nail polish and a piece of sponge.

complete with base color

Paint the blue base first, and let dry. Don’t worry if it goes out of line, you can always clean it with Q-tip later.

Since now I am at the passion of sponge nail arts, I have created a couple of REALLY easy and attention-catching nail art.

Sponge technique is very easy to learn and you can use your imagination to create any abstract designs. All the famous paintings are really abstract anyway.

Now, here is my creation of: The Last Summer.

Tools used are pretty simple (I forgot to photograph), you need:

1. A triangular shape of sponge.
2.  Base coat, top coat and yellow, orange and red polish.

first step of sponge nail art

First, paint your base coat and dab yellow polish at the bottom. Don’t be afraid if you make a mess cause you can always clean it later with Q-tips dapped with nail polish remover.

Aloha! Another weekend has passed, and I have definitely enjoyed my weekend by tidying up my room. A very pleasant-looking result I would say. At least now I don’t walk or kick into things anymore.

I managed to paint my nail next week after some break of breathing time with my nails.

Today, I am going to share a fool-proof way to use sponge and get the perfect nails.

OPI base

First, color your nails with a base color of your choice. You can go really bold by trying out contrasting colors.

color the sponge

Take a sponge, in fact, just most of the sponge will do the trick, then put another shade of nail polish on top.

I bought my sponge from Etude House, I got them for really cheap after 40% discount.

stamp on nail

Then stamp the sponge onto your nails, do it fast before the polish dries off on the sponge.

Finally it is Saturday! Although there won’t be much rest this weekend because I will be out for a short trip with my colleagues, that also means I am going to miss a mini-gathering with the girls. :( Eat more cakes on my behalf k.

Since it is summer, it should not be only flowers right? What about colorful rainbow? And I am assuming that everyone knows Skittles the candy?

nail polishes

I get bored when I see no color, or single color on my nails. So I decided to be playful and have 5 different colors.

For base and top, I used The Face Shop. Cream purple and neon green from Etude House, yellow and orange from Elianto and jelly pink from Revlon.

skittle nails

It’s really simple, after base coat, paint 2 coatings for each color, let dry, top up with top coat and you are done!

It can definitely keep your mood up, and you never get bored looking at it, so do people around you.

However, if your occupation requires dead serious personality, this might not be nice.

You may stop at this step and finish with a top coat. But I always prefer more :D

So fast it’s Monday again? How was the weekend everyone? I just came back from a short trip to Genting and a friend went to Singapore for shopping! *jealous*

I have had this OPI color in Absolutely Alice for a while already, now only I had the chance to use it.

Presenting – Absolutely Alice.

The color is pretty by itself already and I saw no need for extra flowers on top.

But I added 2 fruity fruit slice to spice up the bling blue!

The color went on very smoothly and 2 layers and you get a really solid metallic blue!

Now, to prevent your nail color from chipping, here is an easy peasy tip:
