I am very bad at drawing lines on my lid 🙁 and hence i hardly put on eyeliner unless it is an important day. All the pencils I used, smudged on me. Anyway, here is the review of Clinique Automatic Eye Pencil.
Just a small twist, you see the lead.
It also comes with another sponge end!
The color is black but it is not as dark as I prefer. It is very smooth and easy to draw the line though.
When I tried to rub it, this is what I got. Priced at RM60 – RM70, I don’t think this is worth it.
After a long day of wearing, when I got home, I got none left at all! For some reasons, The pencil liners just won’t stay on my lids. 🙁 Bahh! I wish I had painting skills like Connie so that I can put all the colors on my face nicely.
Anyway, then my colleague showed me something interesting:
An indian eyeliner! The brand is Eyetax. It is made of coconut oil and something. And it looks exactly like all those gel liners!
It comes with a plastic applicator too! And look at that gel in the jar, doesn’t it look a lot like some kiwi shoe polish?
And trying it on my hand. IT IS REALLY DARK! And with its oil content, it is very very smooth in application. However, the color smudge like crazy!
Look! Can you imagine the mess on your lids when you blink?
My colleague also told me that, when you are wearing this, you have to be seriously careful not to blink so much and all, and it is too miserable for her too. But this is their traditional eyeliner. Cool eh?
Priced less than RM10 for this jar, I guess this will last you forever.
p/s: anyone has any recommendation for gel eye liner brush? Flat tip? Or angled brush? And it is something available locally easily and…affordable!

oh why you go and buy the Clinique automatic liner, you should have consulted me first! that was my first ever high-end liner that i hero worshipped till the day i found out it sucked (!).
Indian eyeliners are a no-no because they do tightlining at their large expressive eyes, much unlike the chinese eyes who fold inwards. 🙂
and ALWAYS, beware of lead content in Indian stuff.
oh no! Clinique doesn’t work? I have a hard time looking for eyeliner that doesn’t smudge too! But gosh, that indian liner smudges like crazy! that’s a big no no for us!
pencil liners seldom stays, especially if you have oily lids.
try MAC’s liquid liner. i have a very, very oily eyelid, but this stays on forever 🙂 even can go swimming in it and it still stays!
Try setting the eyeliner with an eyeshadow in a similar colour? And use a lid primer. Those two tricks usually help to prevent my eyeliner from smudging. 🙂
yahui: :'( i feel so sad for my small eyes. ahhh lets see what CS gel liner can do for me
Nikki: yeah stay away from this clinique too! not worth it
gwen: mac’s liquid liner? gel or just liquid? and wow it can even stay after a swim? thts amazing
MisSmall: hahaha. yeah thts what i thought. using dark eyeshadow + liner, so if the line is horrible also not so visible :p
its just liquid, best invention ever 🙂
LOL at the Kiwi shoe polish remark :p
I prefer using an angled brush to apply gel liners. My hands are too shaky to use a fine-tipped one :p
