No doubt, Korea is known as one of the skincare heavens on earth. And with so many Korean brand skin care outlets booming in Malaysia, now I am glad that without going there, I can still get *some* stuff.
One thing I think of Korean skincare store is: The competition is really intense! Practically ALL stores are giving out free stuff for you to step into their store!!! The major brands in Myeongdong are: The Face Shop, Skinfood, Tony Moly, It’s Skin, Innis Free, Etude House, Baviphat, Laneige etc.
Now, let’s see some of the products from the store.
T.E.A.R.S.
I have not heard/seen this brand till when I saw the shop. And did you see some ladies taking turn to snap photo with the ambassador? He is Kwon Sang Woo! (thanks to amber_ who pointed it out to me)
Ahh Tony Moly. I kinda like the name of the shop, it just rhymes well!
Noticed anything strange in the picture?
SEE????
The SA was so desperate to get customers!!!!Yes, he was holding and giving out a sheet mask to get customers in.
And it’s really hard for tourists not to resist…
The cheapest sheet masks start from: KW1000 (~RM3.30).
And my first time seeing LUSH store!
Too bad no pictures allowed in the store, they have so many types of huge junk of soap bars displayed in the store, and they will just cut into smaller pieces for you if you decide to buy.
I bought a bar of Sultana soap. ( I think)
And the face shop was also giving out free mask! But i did not buy much from The Face Shop since we have it here too.
They all use paper bags only. No plastic!
And i think masks from this store – Baviphat has the cutest design! And they have Beyonce as their ambassador! I find it weird but…errr…
And they are quite generous with samples. You don’t even have to ask for it!
I got this cute free cake towel from It’s Skin shop.
And oh, don’t forget, some stores have the the Tax Free sign in the shop. Don’t forget to get your claim, it’s not much money but still nice.
And I saw some REALLY cute umbrellas! Gosh! I almost bought one @ RM60++. BUT after checking I decided not to as the quality was not too good. *sigh*
My total haul from the trip. I would say my only regret was my overloaded luggage hence I could not buy more 🙁
But it has been a really satisfying trip as I have seen enough, walked enough, and eaten enough!
Shopping is never enough anyway.
And the samples I collected and brought home.
In fact, I used 2 sheet masks (day & night) to try out which works best so I could buy more. That’s about my shopping fun there. Let me know if you would like to see some sakura adventures or food, so I could post it up too!
