Have you been seeing this Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Pencil Shadow on the shelf? Wonder how it performs?

color

It is actually in a softer pink, but camera WB just screwed it up. The good thing about pencil shadow is, it is easier to carry around, no messy application.

Now, let’s continue to the swatch.

Taken without flash. This shade is very accurate to the tone. It is shimmery too! However, the color is very very hard to go onto the skin, i actually did this with 6 or 7 strokes to get an obvious color. Very sad indeed.

after smudge

After i smudged it REAL hard till my skin turned red, and the color just refused to go off! I don’t know if this is good or bad. But i see it as bad as it took me some hardcore cleansing to get the color completely off my lids.

Good: Easy to carry, love the color, comes in many shades too

Bad: Not pigmented at all, need to use hardcore remover to remove it off your lid. I wouldn’t recommend you to get this.

Price: RM22.90 in Watsons/Guardian.

ooh… the pink one didn’t do you good huh? The brown one is actually very nice and well-pigmented but I haven’t got the huge urge to buy it yet.

hi there, i’ve been reading your beauty blog with interest!
i’m not sure if you know this… but MAYBELLINE’s mineral makeup range – PURE MINERAL has come to Singapore!
http://www.puremineral.com.sg

it is highly raved in the US, and i read in the forums that some gals are waiting for it to come to Singapore.

and there is an event hosted by Maybelline which allows 15 gals to try the mineral makeup, get a mini makeover and a photo to bring home.

The event is on Friday 9th Jan from 7.30 to 9.30pm.

perfect if you are hitting the clubs to party afterwards! free makeover! look pretty!

all we need to do is join their groups on Facebook & Friendster, leave a comment (any comment i think) on the wall and you’ll stand a chance!

…for Singapore only though : (

the groups’ addresses are –

Maybelline & Me Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=3

Maybelline & Me Friendster: http://www.friendster.com/group/tabmain.php?gid=26

I have the silver and the gold, and they’re both really pigmented (particularly the gold). They are a little hard to remove but they don’t really crease over a long period of time, either.
