I was at the One-Utama last night and there was a One-Card Member Carnival! I didn’t know and yesterday was the last day. Lucky me.

So, with redemption of the voucher, One-Card member is entitled to:-

1. A photo shot with Foto Shangrila on the spot
2. A nail session! Exciting!
3. Face painting
4. A cotton candy

So, there I went for the nail session. I have never done a manicure/pedicure by a professional before. It is fun indeed. There were 2 to choose from, one was polish and coloring OR nail treatment. I asked the girl which was the better one, since I can color my own nails so I decided to go with nail treatment.

As when she was doing, I inquired her about the details. Followings were the 4-step nail treatment.

1. Apply cuticle cream for my nails
2. Nail mask for nails. The nail mask was cool, it’s exactly like our feel off facial mask.
3. Apply Vitamin E. for my nails
4. Apply base and top coat.

Well, I didn’t take any pictures of my nails since it’s transparent anyway. But I think the base coat is the oxygen coating. It’s like milky white in color. There is an oxygen coating from Sally Hansen as well, it’s to prevent the colors from damaging your nails, hence the oxygen coating before the nail polish. The oxygen coating from Sally Hansen costs abt >RM30. But, applying this oxygen coating alone without top coat, it peels off easily.

This nail mask itself costs RM89. @@ Expensive… but it won’t work alone. So, you gotta have the whole set to make things work. And, the whole set of 4 is like RM239! God.

Then, I went to Missy Nail store on Level 1 in New Wing to check out their price.

-Manicure RM35
-Pedicure RM45
-Color RM15

They have a long list but I can’t remember. But it feels good to let someone do the dirty work for u! If you do not have a One-card yet, well, I think you should apply. It’s only RM10 and won’t take alot of your time. :D

She applied the last layer of quick dry which she claimed to be worth RM5, FOC. She appeared to be calm and acted as if this is the norm. Is it? I dun think anyone will pay and get this kind of treatment, do they?
Anyway, i dun think i’ll dare to do mani & pedi anymore. And God knows whether their mani set is hygiene or not..
