Linden Leaves, a brand with a variety of bath and body care, originated from New Zealand has recently reached the Malaysian shore.
Having been to NZ myself, I must say that aromatherapy and natural products are really huge in the country. The beautiful lands are such perfect places for the plants. I remembered being inspired about having own lavender farm and producing own lavender products, it’d be really awesome! I have bought Linden Leaves products before but wasn’t too impressed by the lemon body oil in the ‘pick me up’ series. It smelt refreshing indeed, but was unfortunately dry. Yes, the body oil felt dry on me. Ironic isn’t it?
So, when I was given an opportunity to try again, I was feeling really skeptical based on my less than pleasant experience. I am quite glad that I gave it a retry!
For the aroma therapy synergy range, there are 4 flavors in total, featuring different essential oils and is represented by different fruit/flowers.
For example, my Absolute Dreams has real lavender in the bottle, while the Pick Me Up has a slice of lemon soaked in the oil.
With pure ingredients and exacting attention to detail, Linden Leaves combines nature and science to create this balanced skin care, designed to nourish the skin and nurture the soul. Many of our products are produced by hand, and our unique body oils contain hand harvested natural botanicals. Drawing on the benefits of essential oils, plant derived exfoliants, natural moisturisers and a unique New Zealand heritage, Linden Leaves offers the customer a spirited range of bodycare products with unisex fruit and plant derived fragrances to care for the skin and delight the soul.
One of the base oils is sweet almond oil, which is very high in Vitamin E and it’s excellent for dry and itchy skin. However, I am not sure if it contains lavender essential oil though as it is not listed. The scent of this oil does smell quite artificial (with parfum listed), not the usual authentic lavender essential oil that I am used to.
The texture of the oil is quite heavy and moisturizing, a little goes a long way. The best way to apply is right after bath when skin is still moist, it helps the oil to absorb much better than on dry skin. For the oil remains on your palm, you can gently rub it to your hair ends as hair oil
I am on the fence about this and I can’t decide if I love it. I do love the texture of the oil, but I would much prefer if it’s without artificial fragrance.
