Organizing Fun: Building a Skyscraper for Makeup and Stuff

Being on a organizing spree, and it’s hard to kick this obsession. It’s addictive and the satisfaction lasts when you look at your ‘achievement’. 😉

Lo and behold……

My new skyscraper!

The first acrylic storage system I acquired from Muji was a 5-tier with shallow drawers. Then, a 2-tier drawer was given to me as a gift.

It’s a good upgrade because now I get to store my foundations and blushers are now in the penthouse!!!

It’s also a lid top so it’s good for longer items or when you are lazy to pull the drawer out.

While I was quite contented with this build, but it’s a pity that I could not find a drawer that was able to accommodate the meteorites.

I also bought a velvet accessories case/holder to hold my watches. I used to keep them in the original watch box and found that I hardly wore them because of the trouble of taking them out from the box. With this holder, watches are more accessible.

And finally the meteorites and Laduree blusher are residing at the ground level 🙂

There is still some space for another tub or two for meteorites 🙂

I think I will be contented for a while with this layout, however, I can’t build another floor because my skyscraper will be blocking my mirror if it gets any taller 🙂

The total of this setup cost me about <RM300 (~$USD90).

Honestly, I think would have gotten a cube if I knew I was going to be so obsessive…but to get a cube that fits my dresser is rather challenging. Nonetheless, it’s still fun to see my skyscraper grew.
