Aubrey Organics is a skincare brand that has been around for quite a while, but popularity of using organic products has only begun in the recent years.
I was given a set of Aubrey Organics- Blue Green Algae with Grape Seed Extract for Combination Oily Skin to try out. They have quite a wide range to cater different skin conditions with different ingredients as treatment.
Facial Cleansing Lotion in Blue Algae with Grape Seed Extract.
Tip: Shake well before using it, otherwise you will notice what comes out first is the oil.
The Cleansing Lotion.
It feels like a clay cleansing lotion, but it is runny and has not much scent.
I usually don’t mix with water as it can be used as it is.
It doesn’t lather up and it works like a cleansing milk. For my skin combination sky (dry on cheeks), it cleanses rather well and does not dry out my skin. On the other hand, my sister with oily skin feels that it is too heavy for her skin.Β I prefer to use this at night as the first step of double-cleansing.
Facial Toner.
I don’t find anything special about this facial toner, itΒ is not a moisturizing toner nor a drying toner. In fact, it works just like any other toners.
Now, my favorite of the lot has to be the Soothing Mask.
It is an antioxidant clay mask that works to get rid of dead cells and soothe the skin at the same time.
It has a thick consistency, but again, you need to shake it well before use. I used it once a week as deep cleansing mask, and I like the effect after using it. It is as though my pores were breathing again π LOVE!
However, I find that after using this clay mask, my skin feels dry therefore I need toΒ use heavier moisturizer to replenish my skin.
Overall, I have rather mixed feeling towards the range. If I were to repurchase one, it’d be the mask. π
