Review: Botani Olive Soothing Cleanser & Botani Olive Repair Cream

by xin on December 6, 2010

Botani is an Australian brand skincare that promotes pure plant skin solutions.

Fast forward to the product itself, what I have tried were only – Botani Olive Soothing Cleanser & Botani Olive Repair Cream.

Botani Olive Soothing Cleanser

For the milk cleanser, it can double as makeup remover.

In the morning, I used the cleanser on its own.  But at night after a day out, I used the cleanser at first level of cleansing to melt off the dust and what-not on my face, then followed by another gel cleanser.

The texture is milky but mild, it did not dry out nor sting my skin. However, it did not remove my stubborn after mascara. Therefore I had to use oil-based makeup remover for that purpose.

Botani Olive Repair Cream

As the name suggests, this repair cream is suitable for sensitive, dry, matured, or sun-burnt skin. The texture is thick, but not greasy. You know how is it like when it is rich, but not overwhelming?

You can use this for day and night but I only used for night routine. Overall I think this is alright and nothing too amazing. But, one funny thing I observed was, when I left the sachet opened lying on my dressing table, there were ants around it!

Here is the list of ingredients, but I am not so sure which of them attracted the ants. Ants are rare in my room!

If you have really sensitive and dry skin, this might work for you.
