Summer NOTD: Pink Gradient Cherry Blossoms

by xin on May 10, 2011

1

Tools: Top & base coat, glitter nail polish, pink, white and blue nail polish.

2

Step 1:

Apply base coat and let dry. And then use a light pink or transparent glitter nail color to color the bottom half of the nail.

Step 2:

Before the first layer dries up, quickly apply a pink on the top of the nail and try to blend the 2 colors together to create a gradient. Repeat the steps on all fingers and let it dry thoroughly.

3

Step 3:

Use an old CD, and drop some white nail polish for you to pick up later.

Step 4:

With a dotting tool, pick up the white polish from the bigger end to create flower petals on the nail by dropping 4 dots. Alternatively, you can use a nail art pen to create the dots!

4

Step 5:

While the dots are still wet, use the sharper end of the dotting tool to break the dots to create more natural looking petals.

5

Step 6:

When the flowers are dry, pick a striking color to dot the center of the petals be the flower bud.

6

Step 7:

Wait for your nail art to dry completely and then layer with top coat to protect your hard work.
