I’ve tried this sunscreen but I did not like it as I felt it left a film over my skin and made it feel like paper. Unfortunate really because its got such high SPF.

Hi Paris:

Thanks for dropping by, yeah it actually makes my face feels sticky yet dry after applying, but I still use it because of its high SPF. I have few more sunscreen to intro, stay tuned. ;)

[...] I have an inexplainable fetish for sunscreen, I have tried quite many, but I don’t use them daily, because I don’t quite like the feeling of stickiness on skin. I have a SunPlay Perfect Shield SPF 130, but that is for long time outdoor use, occasionally, I will use this Ultra Ceuticals Ultra Ace Hand and Body Moisturizer. This sunscreen comes with Retinol,Hyaluronan, Vitamins C & E and Green Tea, and it is non-comedogenic and fragrance free. [...]

[...] But, if we go out during the day, being out door, or even in the office, we are exposed to the UV. So, like it or not, it is a compulsory step of skin care. The texture of this sun block is quite… creamy. It’s nothing like the Sun Play Perfect Shield, SPF 130, which is really watery. One thing I don’t like about sun block is, none of them is as thin as serum. It usually feels heavy and sticky on the face. DUH! [...]

I just got myself a Sunplay SPF130 for daily use on my face. Just realised it’s kind of exaggerating. Can I ask whether using this will clog up pores in the the long run?

Thank You!

Moiey: for daily use? do you have an outdoor job or something? as for whether it clogs pores in a long run or not, well, it might, but i have no experience coz i only apply it when i know i will be outdoor burning. but, sincerely, i don’t encourage you using this everyday, you should probably go for a lower SPF. And, i am sure you will not feel comfortable wearing this whole day daily, coz it creates a sticky film on your face. and it’s hard for you to apply make up after tht :)

Moiey: Hahaha i bought my SPF130 intended for the same use as yours. But I find it annoying to have the sticky film with me. You can read about this http://prettybeautiful.net/how-much-do-you-know-about-spf/ here to find out which is suitable for you. :)

chryssna:

How much is the SPF value of the sunscreen from face shop? This SPF130 is more suitable for long exposure to sun at out door, if you stay indoor most of the time, i don’t recommend using this everyday. it forms a greasy film on the skin so your skin won’t feel comfortable. And i am not sure long term use on this will cause pimple outbreak or not. This is working for me, but i only use it once a while when i have to go out door. If you stay indoor, just use a SPF 15 or 30 is already enough. :)

RC: basically yes, esp sunblock with high SPF. if u don’t need to stay under the sun everyday, i suggest u go for ard SPF25 to avoid clog pores ;)
