The Antipodes 3 Perfect Potions – to Hydrate,Brighten, and Reduce Wrinkles

by xin on July 25, 2012

A while back, I had the chance to try out Antipodes Juliet Brightening Cleanser, I was quite surprised that it’s working well for my skin, and it’s my staple cleanser now.

Then, I was told that they have a divine face oil which works well with their serums. I was even more thrilled being an oil lover myself.

The Antipodes 3 Perfect Potions

The 3 perfect potions from Antipodes – Organic Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin- Plumping Serum,  Apostle Skin-Brightening & Tone-Correcting Serum, Organic Avocado Oil & Rosehip Divine Face Oil.

Hosanna Serum to plumb, firm, hydrate and minimise pores; Apostle to brighten & even out skin tone, lighten pigments and reduce inflammation; Divine Face Oil with avocado & rosehip oils to tackle lines, wrinkles, scars & marks; and the combination to provide excellent antioxidant protection & scientifically validated increased level of collagen production as well.

Organic Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin- Plumping Serum

Organic Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin- Plumping Serum

A moisturizing serum, which the texture is smoother and more liquidy, it doesn’t smell the best but it doesn’t stink. It’s absorbed into skin very quickly without the stickiness.

The ingredients.

I have used this alone before my moisturizer, the result is okay for my weekend skin, but it’s not strong enough to combat the dryness my skin suffers during the weekday.

Apostle Skin-Brightening & Tone-Correcting Serum

Apostle Skin-Brightening & Tone-Correcting Serum

Apostle Skin Brightening & Tone Correcting serum is darker in color, thicker in texture, and it smells very berry too.

I have tried using this on its own but I don’t think it has done anything to brighten my skin.

With that said, I might it works the best when mixed together with the Hosanna serum and face oil.

Organic Avocado Oil & Rosehip Divine Face Oil

Organic Avocado Oil & Rosehip Divine Face Oil

My favorite of the lot – avocado & rosehip divine face oil.

I may be biased about liking the face oil, but it works well on it’s own, as well as when mixing with the other 2 serums.

It smells nutty-ly pleasant with a hint of rosehip, and it’s not heavy.

face oil

It glides on skin easily, and on my lazy days, I just slap on this oil alone and it’s sufficient.

It looks like there is some paramecium activity going on here…

Here comes the highlight of this post – mix 2 drops of each (serums and oil)…and voila!

Apply it evenly on your face and neck day and night for better results.

Indeed, when used as a combination, the face oil is diluted, and it feels more like a hydrating serum instead of oil. If I use this on weekdays, I will need to top up with moisturizer. However at night, this is sufficient for me without any moisturizer.

Overall thoughts:

I have used this combination for more than 2 weeks now, and I could see an improvement in my overall skin tone and radiance. I am not sure if it’s psychological, but the acne marks heal pretty well without leaving scars.

However, I am not sure about the wrinkle reducing department as it is part of what the divine face oil can do.

All I know is, it feels nice on skin, and it works for me 😉 That’s what matters right?

If you were to pick one or two products from this combination, I’d recommend the divine face oil as it is versatile, when I have some remaining, I would apply it on my hair too!  You might want to try the Apostle Skin-Brightening & Tone-Correcting Serum together with Organic Avocado Oil & Rosehip Divine Face Oil. Hosanna serum will be optional for me as I find that the face oil itself is enough to provide the moisture.

Have you tried any Antipodes products and any thoughts on this?

the Apostle serum in the mixed photo looks like a heart! 😀 (totally off tangent, I know) The skin plumping serum caught my eye out of the three, you reckon it’ll mix well with MRC?

LOL @ the heart.

I have tried the serums with MRC, it just doesn’t really go together as well as with their oil though

it’s different from MRC, MRC is slightly drier and lighter, this oil is thicker, and smoother
