An Impromptu Trip Down South – of MBS, Pasarbella, Prada Double Bag and Hakuhodo Brushes!

Over the weekend, I had a rather impromptu trip with ParisB down south to Singapore.

The agenda was simple, it was just free and easy! Our trip was mostly just food, and a lot of window shopping.

Hawker Fare

Top left: Kuay Chap (flat rice noodles & braised meat, intestines and egg)

Bottom left: Fried carrot cake, stir fried yellow noodles with luncheon meat and yam cake.

We had the chance to try out some hawker fare from Holland Village neighborhood.

To be honest, I didn’t expect much from food there but to my surprise, they were yums and it’s actually quite affordable!

Pasarbella Singapore

We took some time to visit the latest place in town – Pasarbella in the Grand Stand Turf City.

It’s quite an interesting place with all sorts of food stalls, including the superpig and the unnaturally large clams and etc.

There’s also a To Be Calm candle shop there, definitely picking up one if I go there again!

Hakuhodo Brushes

The highlight of the trip has got to be finding this Hakuhodo brush fair at the Takashimaya. We spent almost a good hour touching and contemplating which to buy. It’s not ridiculously pricey for the regular ones.

I have picked up 4 and can’t wait to try them out! Apparently they are coming to Malaysia from 17 to 20 May in KL Convention Center for the International Beauty Expo. Good opportunity for those who want to get some of them ๐Ÿ˜‰

MBS

Last but not least, one ofย  our greatest discoveries had to be the gigantic mutant strawberries! It looked too good to pass and I even lugged a 500g box back in my handbag! It’s a pity that they are such delicate travelers but I loved them nonetheless.

We popped into Prada boutique at Marina Bay Sands and the service we received was top-notch. We were sweaty and messy from all the flying and walking and yet he entertained us really professionally. I would even look down on myself in that condition. We had a thorough touching and looking at the new double bag.ย  As gorgeous as the bag is, it’s close to a whopping RM10,000 for a bag! Ouch!!!! Guess I will just settle for strawberries for now ๐Ÿ˜‰

It was a fun and short trip, wish I could do this every week ๐Ÿ˜€
