Christmas is around the corner and I am sure all of us have thought of how to celebrate it, what to buy for ourselves, family and friends.
While we thinking of how to pamper ourselves, perhaps we can stop for a moment and think of the less unfortunate ones. I am not saying that you should go all out to donate all your money to the charity, but a little contribution from us, will make a huge difference. What’s more, you will be buying something useful and donating at the same time.
Last year, L’OCCITANE Malaysia has successfully raised RM25,000 from the sale of 2010 planner and donated to the MAB (The Malaysian Association for the Blind) a Braille embosser and audio activator so that the visually impaired can gain access to knowledge.
This year, a beautiful 2011 planner/diary is sold at RM15 each in effort to raise fund for MAB again. All the proceeds will go to the association.
The special part about the planner is, in each month, there is a little story about the background of the MAB and a ‘how you can help’ section for your reference. It is not entirely monetary involved, you can make an effort such as being a volunteer of the center too.
Or donate even CD-RW!
About The Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB)
The Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) was established in 1951 in order to look after the welfare of the blind in the country. It is also the premier voluntary organization in Malaysia serving visually impaired persons by providing services that help the blind and prevent the tragedy of avoidable blindness.
Apart from the charity, they have some really attractive Christmas gift sets too!
I am particularly attracted to this limited edition Winter Rose range. The smell is oh-so-fantastic!
The set of Winter Rose is retailing at RM299 with shower cream 250ml, sugar scrub 250ml, body cream 200ml, and comes in a gift box. All gift sets are available from 1st Dec – 31st Dec 2010 while stock lasts.
