If you have noticed, there is currently a Smurf movie playing now. I am not a huge fan of Smurfs, but I liked the challenge of painting them on my nails.
For this, you would need more colors depending on which Smurf you are going to draw, and also a couple of art brushes with different tip.
You can choose different colors for the base.
On my thumb, I sketched the Papa Smurf with the colors first. You don’t have to be very precise in the shape, as your outline will be more important.
Let dry, and draw the outline. This is quite tedious as you can see the details are very fine.
I had to hold my breath while drawing the line.
On my index finger, I have a Vanity Smurf, it is also the easiest to present as you just need to add the flowers 😉
On the middle finger, I sketched the Smurfette, then let dry.
And paint the details!
On my ring finger, it is a …errr…general Smurf as I have forgotten to paint any characteristics on it 😉
And I think it sort of looked like a mouse as I was already feeling the backache from excessive long hours of painting.
Finally on my pinky it is the mushroom house, easiest of the lot 😉
Wait until the paint is completely dry and coat it with top coat to protect them as long as possible!
On both of my hands.
This is definitely one of the most challenging nail arts I have ever done, but I am proud that I completed it 😉

Sooo cute! I love it when you say You have to hold your breathe, I just realized I do that too!!! I’m not a smurf fan but they are just cute tiny blob of blue! I kinda like Vanity smurf…yeah…because of the flower! 😀 Great great job!!!!

Oh my Gosh Xin!! It looks so pretty and i’m a huge fan of Smurfs but I don’t think my shaky hands will take this design very far…. =(
