Challenge & Review: Lighten Pigmentation with Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum within 14 days

by xin on March 24, 2011

Welcoming the spring/summer, we have quite a few new whitening products for us to embrace the hot sun with an open heart.

I love whitening products, not because I want to really whiten my skin, but I hope for lightening marks and evening out my skin tone.

Shisedo has launched a new serum a while ago – Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum that promises to deliver results in 14 days.

Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum

Really?

I have an annoying patch of pigmentation at the side of my face which seems to have grown bigger over the years. No matter what whitening products  I used, none seemed to really work to even fade it. Though I can cover it with my hair, but I want a solution to it, instead of hiding it.

The texture of the serum is really light and quite runny.

As you pat it on to your skin, you can see that the serum is completely sunk into your skin.

To use: Apply morning and evening on face after toner and before moisturizer.

For optimal results: Apply on forehead, nose and chins and smooth over entire face and massage into skin from the center of face outwards. Repeat massage 3x consecutively.

Now…to the before and after picture after the jump!

Note: I only tested on the pigmentation instead of my whole face.
Before: 4th March 2011

After: 23th March 3011

The result is not bombastic, but I can see the patch appears to be slightly lighter in person, especially around the edges with less harsh borders.

Pigmentation Peeling

Another thing that I observe is also the peeling of the patch.

It started to peel little by little without any pain nor discomfort.

Overall:

With 3 weeks usage, I could see some results already, and I actually feel the confidence to continue using this now :D

A 30ml should last me for about 3 months since I only use it on spots, and will report again in June since the clinical results in their report seem really convincing.

The White Lucent family includes cleanser, softener, serum and moisturizer.

If you have serious break out on face, avoid using this product on the whole face. Use it only to lighten the acne mark after the break out.

I did notice some lightening of pigmentation, but I didn’t experience any peeling. I don’t mind it, but I think the Clinique one gives better results.

When it comes to Brightening, I have tried Shiseido and it really works! thanks for sharing, you’re right, the effect won’t be instant but at least we see results! Better than none!
