Current Favorite: No Frill – Muji High Moisture Light Toning Water

by xin on June 5, 2015

I started using toner when I was 14, so over the years, I have used countless toners in my life – from affordable to higher-end toner.

To be honest, I am not even sure the efficacy of toners on me, but it has become a routine that I almost can’t live without.

Recently, I got myself a bottle of Muji High Moisture Light Toning Water while I was browsing in Muji. Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure about using skincare or cosmetics from Muji since they aren’t exactly specialist when it comes to beauty items.

Since it was only under RM50 for a 400ml bottle, nothing much to lose right? While Hada Labo is a staple for many, I don’t quite like it myself as I find it to be too sticky even though I ‘pat’ for so long.

I did some googling after purchasing this, and I was actually surprised that it’s actually a rather popular product.

It comes in a screw cap which you can replace it with a mist cap if you like.  I have replaced it with a mist cap to save myself from the risk & hassle of spilling the entire bottle of toner if it slips from my hand.

I like that it is:

  • Coloring free
  • Paraben free
  • Fragrance free
  • No mineral oils

As you can see, it’s a really down-to-earth toner.  It’s quite moisturizing and it feels comfortable on skin. It’s also a good toner to use prior to mask application if you are feeling the pinch of using expensive toners.  Its main hydrating properties are grape seed & purslane extract.

This toner is from the sensitive skin range, and so far I haven’t had any skin irritation from the using it.

I have been using it for 2 months, and I think I quite like it. I won’t say that I love it but I don’t hate it either. It’s a good basic toner for everyone, most importantly, it’s affordable! It comes in smaller size too if you just want to try out.

Price: RM40+/400ml
Availability: Muji stores
