When I first received the Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose, I wasn’t quite sure what scent to expect. I had a miniature of the first generation of Tresor and I remember it to be quite heavy and matured. I am not a fan of matured or masculine perfumes.
Upon unboxing the perfume, I was rather surprised to find the beautiful rose attached to the bottle. It’s really a cute touch to an otherwise common looking bottle. However, it sometimes can get in the way of spritzing, the best way to remedy that is to swivel it to the side.
Tall and elegant, it might not be the best shape to keep on your dresser because chances of knocking it down are quite high especially if you are clumsy. I store it in a tall storage box together with my bottle skincare for safety purpose.
The face of this fragrance – Emma Watson is quite a good choice to portray the image of young seeking for contemporary love in the romantic city of Paris. On the first sniff, it is very undoubtedly very fruity and young. And it reminded me so much of the Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, but when I checked it again they are actually different.
On this Tresor Midnight Rose, some may find the fruity scent too over-powering but after a while, it dries down to sweet floral scent. I personally don’t get much of jasmine or blackcurrant but the vanilla scent lingers the longest on me.
The notes in the fragrance for some of you who are familiar:
Top Notes: Raspberry, Rose Absolute
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Peony, Blackcurrant Buds, Pink Pepper
Base Notes: Virginian Cedar, Musk and Vanilla
It is seductive and playful at the same time, suitable for both day and night. It will be the next fragrance that I am going to decant to be carried around
Overall,I am quite liking this fragrance since I am a fan of anything fruity and floral. Do check this out at any Lancome counters and boutiques if you are a fan of sweet scent.
