When I was first told about the launch of new Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle, I was not too thrilled as the Teint Miracle was too oily for me. But, if I tell you this is totally different, would you believe me?
Introducing the new Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle.
A little experiment with powder foundation was demonstrated compared against brand X (we could not figure out what brand was that!) to show how oil-absorbing this foundation is.
When added with a drop of baby oil (to represent the oils on our face), the brand X foundation immediately transformed into a ‘liquid’ foundation, while the Lancome Maqui Blanc still remained powdery.
Now, let’s see how it fares!
I compared it with my favorite Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation on my hand. As you can see, Lancome appears to be more watery than Bobbi Brown.
I am using shade PO-04.
Well, looks can be deceiving!
When blended, you can see that Bobbi Brown is more luminous while the Lancome is matte and thick.
It’s got very good coverage compared to the rest too.
Only one small pump is sufficient for my whole face.
For the extra, you can dab it around your nose when it is usually more reddish, and also use it as your undereye dark circles.
I only blended a layer with my finger tips and most pores are covered and skin tone has been even out.
Overall, I think it is a great foundation minus the yellow undertone. I wouldn’t say this is the best color for my skin, as I tend to turn yellow right after applying it. It only subsides after a while. But also, with the long-lasting and heavy coverage (when I remove makeup at the end of the day, I still wipe a lot of it off my face), I am willing to overlook the yellow factor. And it certainly is good at oil-controlling department.
Tips: It is not necessary to reapply powder foundation through out the day with this Maqui Blanc. When you need to, just lightly absorb the oil off your face and your skin feels matte again. Try not to overdo it, as it looks really thick.
Availability: At major Lancome counters
Price: RM140/30ml
If you like the matte factor and want heavy coverage but don’t mind the yellow tone, I would certainly recommend this!
p/s: I love the new blusher!

*drools* the blusher looks too cute for words!
With re: to Lancome foundation, I haven’t tried any Lancome foundation, only eyeshadows and blushes
I love the blusher too
It’s my first time trying lancome foundie from a bottle, had only tried the samples in the past.
I have mixed feelings about this foundation. On one hand, I like its texture and how lightweight it feels. On the other hand, none of the shades seem to match me well. But it does look very nice on you
actually me too,the shade is not a perfect match for me but i have to make do with it coz i like the texture!
The foundation looks great on you and it’s good to know it helps in the oil-control department.
That blush is gorgeous too!
thanks gio
i abs love the oil-control factor!
hi,
i am too a big fan of bobbi brown’s foundation whilst a big user of Lancome cosmetics products and i too have extremely oily skin. In fact my cosmetics are equally divided between Bobbi Brown and Lancome.
My question is which would you vote for? Would you recommend Bobbi Brown or Lancome to a fellow oily skin user? Or which would you repurchase?
I am extremely undecided and yet desperately need a liquid foundation.
Thank you!
