Friday’s Nail Art: Cut the Rope

Good Friday ladies!

It’s an awesome day for me because…I took a day off in conjunction of Monday’s public holiday so I could have 4 days of break in a row!

I have been quite addicted to fancy nail arts lately, and I find that normal color coating doesn’t satisfy me anymore. The weirder, the better now.

Anyway, if you are a iPhone/Android users, you might know this game – Cut the Rope.

It’s not any mindless game, it requires some intelligence to solve the puzzle, that is – cutting the rope without breaking the candy and feed Om Nom the frog.

For this cute game, you will need colorful polishes to set the mood.

Color a coat of even color, then clean the excess on your finger with Q-tip dipped in nail polish remover.

If you think the base color looks streaky, use a transparent polish with light shimmer to make a light coat. It helps to make the streaky polish looks even when the shimmer reflects.

Moving on to the design, let’s start with the main character – Om Nom. It is a cute little green frog. The basic is very simple, sketch a shape of a rounder triangle, add a antenna. Then, with white acrylic color/polish, drop 2 dollops as eyes, and small dots as teeth.

The most important part of the art (in my opinion), is to outline the frog!

Now you can clearly identify the character once it has been outlined.  It is better not to use a art brush that is too fine and limp, it will be hard to control. The best choice is an art brush with firm tip.

Move on to the other designs once you complete the frog.

My favorite will be the germ looking thorn ball on my ring finger. ^_^

On my middle finger, it is a lollipop with a scissors cutting through the rope.

However, on my right hand, the frog looks like a dinosaur instead =/

It doesn’t matter because the satisfaction is great
