A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to receive the new Fall collection of Dior for review – It’s a beautiful eyeshadow palette & lipgloss with panther print, and a set of crocodile effect crackle polish.
It’s a really solid and heavy smooth silver casing, it comes with a velvet pouch which you should store the palette in to avoid scratches. Unfortunately, it is a finger print magnet.
It took me some time to finally dig in to this as it was too beautiful to be destroyed. Pretty prints aside, extra care is needed to swipe the colors without touching the neighbor color. If you are using finger, you will need to use your finger tip minus the long nail to pick up the color gently.
Flipping the lid next to the shadow will reveal a pan of lip gloss. It’s really sheer but shimmery lip gloss. The metal divider is awesome in keeping the lip gloss clean from the eye shadow. Ever saw one lip gloss covered with flyaway shadows? It’s gross.
It comes with sponge tip applicators, which I never used.
Swatches of the shadows on the back of my hand.
The intensity of the colors can be built and this is only 2 swipe of colors.
Initially, you might experience some shadow fall out in the pan, but it’s all fine after a few swatches.
I did a quick work on the eye before work. I did not really intensify the color as I would not want to go to work if full smokey eye
The powder is alright but I feel that finger works the best in picking up the color.
It’s a beautiful khaki green that can be used day or night.
And the lip gloss on my lips. It’s really sheer and I would prefer to use a lip color, then top it up with the gloss to avoid looking sick.
Overall Thoughts:
I am liking the print, and also the heavy casing which feels really expensive. It’s quite a versatile shade for day and night, depending on the intensity you used. The powder is smooth, and does not sparkle. Only gripe is, it lasted not more than 2 hours on my oily lids, it was gone completely as if I never applied any. On the bright side, at least it did not leave me with any panda eye! So if you have oily lids, a primer is definitely needed.
If you do not have any khaki green in your collection, or if you are a fan of limited edition, you will love this!

The staying power is very disappointing! I have similar shades already in my stash and the animal print, although pretty, isn’t practical. I think I’ll pass.
