I have taken the Bak Foong Pill but not under the Eu Yan Sang brand name.I used other brand since Eu Yan Sang sells them like 10 bottles in one box which is a lot, so I buy other brand which is sold seperately every month.
The Bak Fong pill is suppose to help like reducing the menstrual cramp that most ladies experience every month. The one I am taking did help to reduce the cramp and the irregular menses which sometimes can be extremely heavy and causes a lot of discomfort.

Lily: I think this 10 bottles will last me for a long time, given that I tend to forget about it. The pills in the bottle are alot as well. Are other brands the same like this? Also small small pills? I do not usually have menstrual cramps, but, the first day of flow is so heavy that the pad is filled in an hour’s time!

The Bak Fong Pills I am taking is called PaoShen ChongCao Bafeng Wan which is made in Melaka. I guess its not a known brand as it does not have any tely advertisment to promote the brand. Its sold in a small can which inside have a plastic container shaped in the form of a ball.
Each seperate can cost about RM11.80.
Its not sold in a box with 10 bottles instead its sold individually which means after I finnish one can then I can discard the plastic container and the can.
I only buy them like every month after my period because its to be eaten after the menses stopped. Yeah, it got a lot of pills in it, I think most of the Bak Fong Pill is like that.
It looks like your menstrual flow is quite heavy, I think its better to consult a gynae if the symptom persist.

Lily: thanks for the explanation :D if each costs about 11.80, then the price quite similar also. why not you buy in bulk n store? wouldn’t u forget to go and buy? :D although mine is lying there, but i still forget to take. usually my menses is heavy on the first day. if 2nd or 3rd day will be ok.

Its my pleasure. I never buy in bulk n store coz I am afraid I would lost interest on the Bak Fong pills and never finish of the rest. I do have a very short span of interest in thing and I do afraid mid-way through finishing the bulk, I develop some kind of adverse symptom or I get bored and want to sample something else.
I would not forget coz my mom would be reminding me all the time to take the Bak Fong Pills. If on my own, I will sure forget.
That should be OK if the heavy menses become less heavy on 2nd and 3rd day.Ussually my menses is also heavy on the 1st and 2nd day and become OK on the 3rd days onward and the pad only filled after a few hours.
They say the usual diet have something to do with menses flow, like drinking too much soft drink and alcohol. So watching out the diet will sure help.

It’s so good to have mom reminding you all the time. :) *jealous* Strangely, my mom does not believe in taking extra herbs to boost our system, her principle is, if we eat well, and sleep well, we will have enough nutrients and all. But, living outside home, it is hard to eat well or sleep well. And btw, I am 3-min type of person too :P. Sometimes 2.5 mins only. hehe
