So fast we are half way into Chinese New Year, and by tradition, today’s everyone’s birthday ?? (7th day) – and directly translated to ‘human day’ from the chinese words, it’s believed that humans are created by the Goddess Nu Wa on this day.
The best way to celebrate is of course, by having a yee-sang. I love it with lots of fresh ingredients! This is a home-made one with lots of fresh and salmon belly sashimi 😉
And to commemorate this big day, I have created a simple nail art featuring Shaun the Sheep.
I am only using a solid color, and a glitter for a nail.
A good art brush goes a long way, it’s got some good ‘spring’ and no shedding of bristles .
I am using my current favorite toy for inspiration – it’s Shaun the Sheep from McDonald’s Happy Meal.
Creating sheep is not hard, as you only need to roughly sketch the look and it’s quite forgiving actually.
There are another 2 toys that I am eyeing from this collection…hence it’s 2 more Happy Meals ahead!
I will be having family dinner tonight. I hope you enjoy my nail art, and the rest of Chinese New Year 😀
