When I first bought my Clarisonic in 2011, I was really excited about it with all the raves from the Internet. However, 2 or 3 months down the road with daily use, I realized that it’s really not for my skin as it was way too harsh for my dry skin. From then on, I have put it aside and forgotten all about it.
Until one day, I saw this new brush head – Cashmere Cleanse in Sephora, I decided to give my Clarisonic a second chance.
It’s ‘taller’ than the regular brush head as it is dual-layer, and it has much longer bristles.
As you can see, the brush head actually resembles my foundation brush!
As you can see, the bristles are soft that it’s almost pliable. And the long bristles work great for foaming up products. However, I still find that foam cleansers generally work the best for Clarisonic brush heads instead of gel or milk. The cleansing power of this brush head may not be as strong as the regular but it’s definitely much gentler for my dry skin.
With that said, I still perform a double cleansing at night even with the use of Clarisonic. I use milk cleanser the first round then foam cleanser with Clarisonic. I have been using this Cashmere brush head for about 2 months everyday and have not experienced any redness or breakout so far. And it looks like it’s a keeper again! 😉
It’s slightly more expensive than the regular but it’s worth paying for especially if the regular heads are too harsh for your skin. A brush should be changed every 3 months but I (try to) stretch it to 6 months so the cost-per-use is decreased significantly.
