After leaving the city of surprise (Paris), we took a train to Brussels.
It’s only about an hour of ride away and it’s such a drastic difference from Paris.
It’s so quiet in the mid noon at this part of town, I almost thought: so this is Brussels….
We were so hungry at 3pm so we popped into a grill restaurant for some seafood fest.
It only cost us 20€ for this platter as you get to pick what you want to grill and it is charged by a flat rate of 23€/kg.
There were many groceries and fruit stalls around and the fruits were so cheap!
Taking a further stroll, we found our way to the Grand Palace in the city center and it’s THE place in Brussels.
It’s crowned as the most beautiful square in Europe and the architecture it’s just amazing.
This is also the place where you can find tons of pubs, godiva boutique, and a hard rock cafe!
Hi hard rock!
This is how the busy streets look like at 10pm. You can find kebabs all over the corners.
And of course, what’s Brussels without some fancy waffle? 😉
The silhouette of the square. I took a paramona of the square and the whole place it’s just amazing.
I took a spy shot of my parents and it’s the thing to rest sitting on the ground, as the square will be lit and light changes at night.
Our grilled dinner again before we leave for Amsterdam tomorrow.
And it’s scary looking fish is actually quite tasty!
This is how we spent a day in the Brussels and I think it’s worth a night’s stay here to enjoy the night life.
With love from Brussels, till then.
