About 2 weeks back, I have shared the beauty tips with you from the Laneige makeup educator, and today I am going to show you the colors and look in the holiday collection.
The 3 products in the collection: A blusher (2 colors), an eyeshadow palette, and a lip duo with lipstick and gloss on different ends. (2 shades).
The colors are alright, but not super pigmented on the camera. It’s a nude palette and it’s generally fool-proof for day use.
Of course, to convert it to night, you will need more of the darkest brown and a thicker liner.
For day use, I keep it minimal so you can’t really see the colors from the picture. Using the darkest brown, you can use it as the eyeliner and do a small flick at the end to give your eyes the lifting effect.
Swatches for the lip duo. Due to the natural paleness of my lips, it is not hard for the pink to get on.
I look washed out if I use it on its own without any other face makeup. However, to give it a boost, I prefer to apply a layer of Benetint (or any red lip tint you have) as a base. So when I apply the pink on me, I look more polished.
To convert it into night look, i added more darkest brown for the intensity.
In fact, I was actually quite heavy handed but the colors just refused to show up properly due to the late afternoon light.
And yes it is the blusher on my cheeks. I just swirled my brush on the entire blusher to get an even color and for convenience’s sake. It’s an okay blusher, comes with a brush at the bottom deck of the blusher.
Price:
Styling Romantic Eye Palette – RM80
Styling Romantic Blusher – RM90
Styling Romantic Lip Duo – RM65
Availability: All Laneige counters
Overall Thoughts:
Although the colors are not exactly outstanding, but it certainly makes a great gift for its price. If I were to pick a gift from this collection, the Lip Duo would probably be my choice because it is convenient with lip stick and gloss in 1. The pink might look scary at first but if you pair it with the gloss it’s actually quite wearable, afterall it is the hottest color in Korea right now. They have another shade which is redder so you might want to check that out if you fear the bubble pink.

Yes that pink is scarifying on its own but paired as you did with the red tint it works a treat

The lip colour combinations are so pretty
I personally can’t carry off such pale shades since my lips are very pigmented but these colours look really nice on you.
The colors look just right considering they have been affected by the pictures’ quality. The price is just right and with your tips on their application then they may prove satisfying. There is no harm in trying. I will give it a go.
