How to maximize the use of ONE cotton pad

It Tuesday! Monday blues are over! So, I thought I shall share an awesome tip with everyone here. I think i read this somewhere before, but I shall just write it again.

I am a huge fan of Q-tips. I have a jar at home, a jar on my work desk, and a pack in my handbag. I feel really insecured without them. But, in a long run, I am wasting so much world resources and $$ to keep having to refill.

So, today, let’s see how can I maximize my cotton pad to save me a teeny bit of cash when I remove my eye makeup.  You know how many Q-tips sometimes you have to use to completely remove the black residue left over by your eyeliner right?

I prefer my thick cotton pad. Guess how many Q-tips one sheet of cotton pad can be equal to?

First, wet your cotton pad adequately with makeup remover.

Slowly tear the cotton pad into half. Then half again.

I had 5 thin layers from a sheet of cotton pad! All moist too! Awesome. Some you can use it to remove eyeshadow while the rest you can turn them into Q-tips!

Now, let’s see how to turn them into Q-tip.

Fold a layer into half.

Then half again and you get a quarter.

Then you fold it as shown, and roll it.

Ta dah! Now you get a Q tip to clean your eyeliner and what not.

EEEP! Dirty. But it’s ok, it’s not the end of it yet.

Open up, and flip to the clean side.

And fold and roll again, you get a cleaner tip from the used layer just now. Amazing right?

So…the result of the experiment is: I get 5 Q-tips from one cotton pad!!!
