When I was contacted to review a brand called Sin-Care (Australian brand and made in Australia), not knowing what exactly it was, but I have to admit that it is such an interesting name for the brand!
Love the quirky packaging!
We believe AGE + LIFESTYLE = WRINKLES. I.e. skin care sins or lifestyle factors cause us to age. Hence the name SIN-CARE.
A skincare that takes care of our sins? YES!
There are a total of 8 different serums to target 8 sins:
SIN #1 Smokers: Smoker’s Secret™
SIN #2 Sun Damage: Sun Goddess™
SIN #3 Sugar Addicts: Sugar Hit™
SIN #4 Stress: Relaxation Sensation™
SIN #5 Lack of Sleep: Sleep Doctor™
SIN #6 Sports Fatigue: Skin Coach™
SIN #7 Time Poor: Line Rewind™
SIN #8 City Living: Urban Renewal™
My pick of Sin-Care: Urban Renewal – Concentrated booster serum targeting the impact that city living has on the skin
Actually, I have suffered, or rather, committed a few sins, but I think Urban Renewal will fit the best for my skin since living in the city means plenty of pollutants and harmful matters.
It comes in a dispensable bottle, and you can see the amount of product left in the bottle. You are advised to finish the product within 6 months upon opening.
The instruction is to use it day and night before moisturizer. In fact, you can pair other Sin-Care serums too if you have more than one concern.
Key ingredients:
- Hyaluronic Acid instantly moisturises and aids in decreasing the appearance of fine lines.
- A.P.S. Anti-Pollution System™ containing Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, Biotin and Tilia Cordata wood extract helps to reduce skin stress.
- Oxygen Complex™ stimulates oxygen consumption and helps to restore energy reserves.
- Ginseng extract enhances skin vitality and Yeast assists the skin’s defence system while antioxidants protect against free radical attack.
1.5 pump should be sufficient for your whole face.
The texture of the serum is unusual. It’s not the usual transparent/runny serum. Instead, it feels like foundation or cream. It has a very faint, slightly earthy smell but it doesn’t bother me.
Blend it evenly on your skin. You will be surprised that, it may look really think and creamy here, but once it is massaged in, it disappeared without shine, but leaving my skin feeling matte. I use this serum day and night after my toner.
I have been using it for 5 weeks now and have not gone for facial for over a month (as at 25/3/2011), I can’t pin-point what is the result but I see less bumps or congested pores on my cheeks and side my my face. T-zone remains the same though.Well of course I did not expect it to reset my sins to 0, but definite worked a little to comfort my skin.
Product availability: www.sincare.com.au and they ship worldwide.
Product price: AUD$69.00/ €50.00/US $70.00
Overall, I think it is a rather cool concept for product to target different concerns as all of us have different needs and wants. If you have a specific concern and nothing else in the market can target it, you might want to give it a try
I can’t think of any cons, but I wish they would launch sample vials that can be bought in a pack of 3 or 5 of different sin-cares, so we could try out which product would work best to un-sin our skin.

I like the suggestion of sample vials. Most of the time I’m hesitant to try out new stuff because I don’t know how it will affect my sensitive skin.
me too! i don’t want to spend a bomb to find out that the product is not suitable for me
