Although I was traumatized with my first group deal coupon, it somehow hasn’t really discouraged me. I am glad that I took the challenge and gave it another go to a cheap deal!
The highlights of my deal:
- Thalgogive hydrating and firming facial.
- Neck mask and massage.
- Eye mask and massage.
- Back treatment can relief acne and even out skin tone.
- Hand paraffin treatment can soften hands and relief sore joints.
Sounds really good? At least they use Thalgo products! I have heard of Thalgo long ago but had never used it before. I was told that Thalgo has been around in the market for 40 years already. (really?)
The Location:
It is quite a hidden place located above a boutique “F Block”, although it is said to be in Sunway Giza Mall, but it is at the outside of the mall, actually facing the roads opposite Watsons.
The Environment:
To my surprise, the environment is much better than what I had imagined. It has been opened since July 2010 but the facilities still seem new. And the waiting hall is quite spacious and clean and you can see a display of Thalgo products on the shelf.
I was served a lychee rose tea while waiting, I loved it! Quite refreshing from the usual dates/chrysanthemum tea. In fact, I was there 15 min earlier than appointment because I did not want my appointment to be delayed. After filling up the standard details, I was led to my treatment room.
The Treatment Room:
The treatment room is quite neat and organized. I wouldn’t say it’s spacious but good enough for the beautician to walk around. I love the attention to the details, eg ribbon-ed towels on the bed, stones and rose petals at the side of the wall. And you can clearly see the Thalgo products on the rack. And I love the aroma of essential oil in the air!
The Service:
To be honest, I would rate their service above average. It might not be the best I have ever had but definitely a pleasant one! First, my face was cleansed and scrubbed, and steamed. I really prefer the cool steam though. Then it was my most dreadful moment – extraction. Luckily my beautician was quite gentle as I told her that my pain tolerance is really low. So she constantly asked me the strength was alright for me. And she explained all the products used on me.
After the extraction, I had a face mask, and also neck and eye mask on. All of them were gel. The eye mask was quite cooling and it dried up as a thick gel which you could peel it off easily without any pain. If the eye mask gets into your eye, you can lift it up to adjust it and patch it back. ( That’s what I did)
Followed by the mask, it was firming massage and I actually opted to add an raspberry extract ampoule for hydration. I liked it when she showed me the ampoule which I would be charged for an additional RM48 (usual price RM68). At least I was sure that Thalgo was used on my face, not any other dodgy brand. And since it is a rather big tube of ampoule, I was given the rest to bring home and use it after toner and before moisturizer. The remaining 50% should last me for about 3x. My facial was ended with some icy-dumbbell rolled on my face as the final step.
After the facial, I had a back scrub and also a hand paraffin wax as part of the deal.
The Price:
The most basic and classic facial starts at RM110, there is a 20% off for first time customer. For customers who have purchased the same deal, there is a special 3x package at RM399 with 3x facials, neck & eye treatment, welcome touch (brief massage) and also foot bath. I was quite tempted.
The Products:
I managed to ask about some of the prices of Thalgo products. The cleansers & toners/250ml retail at about RM155 and the scrub retails at about RM180. Now, I have quite a good impression of Thalgo products 😀
Area of Improvement:
I can’t really think of any, but it there are:
- I would prefer them to use makeup remover over my lip too. It felt rather weird having a cleansed face except for the lips.
- The cleanliness of toilet bowl could be improved.
The address:

Hmm… I was going to criticize the room I was in – it didn’t have anything in there except a bed so the beautician was walking in and out to wash hands, take products etc. Service was good, but rooms can be improved.
aw! that’s unfortunate. they should equip all the treatment rooms
I know I’ve said it gazillion times that I needed massage!!! But I just am too lazy to drag my lazy bum to massage place!
u should make a trip this weekend 😛
Yay for a good deal and one in my neighborhood too! 😛
I have 2 facials, 1 spa and 1 brazilian wax yet to be redeemed 😡 which is why I didn’t buy this one
