Inuovi Splash Away Makeup Cleansing Oil + Daiso Desktop Oil Blotters

by xin on April 7, 2009

UPDATED: I received an email from Bob, who is the awesome corporate trainer, regarding the use of this cleansing oil.

Cleanse is a mild makeup cleansing oil designed to remove stubborn and waterproof makeup.  Makeup instantly melts away to leave skin feeling clean and moisturized. At the same time, Cleanse can easily be removed with a splash of water as the oil will disintegrate upon contact.  In this instance, for Cleanse to be an effective makeup cleanser, it has to be utilised in its original form.  As such, when Cleanse is being mixed with water, it will lose its effectiveness immediately.  Thus, when the Cleanse & Water mix is being used to remove the makeup, there should be traces of makeup that is not completely removed, causing pimples to appear subsequently.

Well, apparently we should NOT emulsify the cleansing oil and should only just use it on its own.

Sorry for the lack of updates girls 😀 Been pretty tied up with work, i hope some of you missed me 😛

During the last Inuovi outing with the girls, I of course, picked up some goodies from there too, at 40% off! Gorgeous. One of the items i am going to review is this – Inuovi Splash Away Makeup Cleansing Oil. Even during the play time, i was impressed by this product already.

We were told that we don’t need whole lot to cleanse our face, and we can actually emulsify this cleansing oil first to save the usage! How often do you hear this right? So, I got myself a brand new pump bottle to experiment.

The experiment: A pump bottle and Inuovi Splash Away Makeup Cleansing Oil.

The ratio should be, cleansing oil: water = 1:3.

Which means, u only need 50ml cleansing oil to make a 150ml cleansing lotion. But i did not measure it exactly so i went by heart. You can of course alter this formula to suit your usage. You can roughly see how much cleansing oil I poured from the bottle to get this amount. And btw, I used distilled water to emulsify this lotion.

And how does it fare?

It is so easy when you emulsify it first. Just pump onto your cotton pad, and voila! I actually applied alot alot of liquid eyeliner and experiment. All I did was: gently pressed the cotton with cleansing oil against my eyelid for about 10-20 seconds, and most of the liner and shadow came off easily! And then just use a Q-tip to clean the innerlid and remaining residue.

I am TOTALLY IN LOVE with it now. 😀 Being at 40% off, I paid about RM43 or so for this 150ml.

And also, thanks to the kind people at Inuovi, each of us received a goodie box! Here is mine: except for the 2 pairs of eyelashes that I bought. Can’t wait to use them!!!

daiso desktop blotting paper

And also, a desktop oil blotters from Daiso RM5. I am so addicted to this now, I just feel like blotting my face every single minute 🙁

Used several times as shown in the picture, as you might have already known, i have too many cleansing products. I bought and opened this about <1 month ago. So still fresh! 😀
