NOTD: It is spring already?

by xin on April 2, 2009

Work has been pretty busy, and here I am going to do a quick post: My nail of the day: It is spring already?

m2

Tools needed:

1. Base coat, nail color, top coat
2. Konad stamping tools
3. French tip stickers

m3

I did not use a base color for french tip as I am having a problem of french tip stripping my base color and also leaving residue 🙁 Anyone knows how to apply french tip sticker to the base color without spoiling it? So, if you have noticed, my french tip is always with a naked bottom 🙁

When i have completed this, i felt that something was missing, missing the…ooohm! So…

m4

I added a layer of glitters! 😀

This somehow reminds me of sakura.

Hope you enjoy this nail art! 🙂

When I do french tips, usually I apply a top coat on top of the base colour first, let it dry (really really dry!) then only stick on the stickers. Hope this might help

so pretty! Hmm.. with the french tip stickers, I think you really have to let the base polish dry, like SUPER DRY before you’ll be able to stick the sticker on it 🙂

Jessie: uh….so the keypoint is REALLY REALLY dry? 🙁

bee: if we have ample time, i can bring my stuff! 😀

Nikki: thats the thing, its so annoying having to wait for them to dry

LyNn: u can have it too! just need practice, and patience 😀 this is really easy compared to other drawing nail art

gio: thanks! 😀

Connie: yeah quite simple coz no need to hand-draw

It’s spring and sakura is really a suitable one. I’m working myself to get konad nail polishes… 😛

OK Ladies…hers is my secret to french tips>>> first. i usually freehand the tips (you dont have to) but anyhow, after painting tips (use your stickers as you have been) paint the BOTTOM 1/2 of your nail from the left to right. I usuallt hold my finger @ 90 from how i usually hold it. and then just paint the strokes as i would normally (but with my hand sideways…i end up painting from side to side not bottom to top.) does that make sense? Hard to explain…i’m gonna do a vidoe tutorial i i think one of these days on my blog. Hope it works!

BTW if you free hand a tip OVER a blush base…you kan use a konad stamp to COVER yout smile line to hide any areas you jacked up!

oh oh..forgot to mention…i am having a contest, win an entire Bkit from konad. enter to win @ my blog
