Review: Kielh’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

by xin on April 8, 2011

Kielh’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is not a new product in the market and has been around on the market for over a year. I decided to get a bottle after having some sample from Connie and after reading some good reviews.

Kielhs' Midnight Recovery Concentrate RM180

It even looks like those mysterious magic potion that you see the in movies.

If you have noticed, most of the essential oils are stored in dark colored glass bottles. It is because essential oils are light sensitive and you should keep them in cool places too. Long exposure to light can cause the quality and aroma of the essential oil to degrade.

It comes with a dropper but I find it hard to pipette the oil out as I need to press quite a number of times on the soft rubber top to vacuum it. I’d just prefer a screw cap or rubber squeeze actually 😀

The texture of the oil is really light and runny (you might be able to see from this picture), unlike other essential oils that I have tried.

It has quite a strong scent of lavender and it is very calming for the soul especially when used at night.

For anyone, the advice is: 2 drops for the whole face (preferably neck too if you have extra on your palm).

For myself, I sometimes use 3 drops when my skin is irrationally dry. Slightly warm it between your palms and press against your face starting from cheeks, forehead then chin. Since a bottle can last you for really long, so don’t skimp on your neck! You can take a big and long sniff if you want to.

When I wake up the next morning, although I don’t experience ‘toing’ skin due to the severe dehydration, but my skin actually feels like it is back to the ‘normal’ state. I even use it in the day on some days!

For the first few uses, your face might feel really oily but you will soon get used to it. For the oily skin, you might even need to cut down to a drop though. Even my mom complains that 2-drops are too oily for her!

You can use this before your moisturizer and you can even skip your moisturizer if you think it is enough already. I alternate few essential oils in a week so I have variety in my routine 😀

Price: RM200/30ml.

It is not cheap but you can wait for the “RM10 off with every RM100 spent” and you will be able to score this for RM180 instead. 😀
