Photoshoot Day 2: Nami Island in Korea

by prettybeautiful on April 15, 2010

On the second day of photoshoot, our destination was Nami Island. It is quite a far place as it was about a 2.5 hours bus ride from Seoul + another 10 min boat ride.

I had to wake up as early as 0430 in the morning for makeup and hair! Gosh. Sure as hell I was tired as I only slept for 3 hours the night before.

In evening gown after makeup

After changing into gown I quickly snapped a picture in the hotel room.

And yes Connie my hair was sticking out. LOL.

Nail & gown

I really love this yellow gown!!! But I won’t be wearing this for my wedding day.

Hairdo

A ponytail wig was used in the hairdo.

Me in raincoat

After 2.5 hour of bus ride with the extremely tight gown, I was really  nauseous and almost puked in the bus.

As if that’s not enough, it had to rain the whole day and I had to wear raincoat to prevent my hair and makeup smudge before the photoshoot.

Van in nami island

Arriving! 3 of us who were in our gown and make up already, we had the luxury to sit in the van. The rest had to walk to the destination! It was about a 15 minutes walk to the Mongolian tents.

In tent waiting

While waiting for the photoshoot to start, we prayed for rain to stop. But it did not.

The Mongolian tents are actually like resorts for tourists.

Korean costume

And in Korean traditional bridal costume! Honestly I don’t think I like this outfit a lot…

After taking the photos, I did not take any photos of myself in gown like the first day, because it was too too cold!!!

Kimchi Pancake and rice

We decided to go for lunch instead – kimchi pancake, and rice in a tin box where you had to shake it to evenly mix it. Of course you need to wear gloves provided so that your hands will not be scalded.

Restaurant

Shaking the tin

We roamed the place for some hours while waiting for others.

Winter sonata scene

The whole place is like a dream! It is as if I stood in front of a backdrop.

Neat trees

bae yong jun

Hello Bae Yong Jun! They were the people who made Nami Island popular because of the movie – Winter Sonata.

The whole place looks so serene and fake! How can ALL the trees be the same height??? Do they trim them manually?

I really can’t get enough of the trees.

Bicycles on Nami Island

You can also rent bicycles to go around the place.

A really strange statue.

Ferry at nami island

Finally back at the bank again waiting for ferry.

Statue

I molested the statue! Nice perky ass lady!

My next post would be the ultimate skincare heaven – Myeong Dong!

haha, the shot with Bae looks so real! I believed it for a moment. I love your matching nails for the gown. Hmmm, and rice a tin pan??? Strange enough. I know I love boat rides, when I took the ferry between Macau and HK. True, true, how can all the trees be the same height???
