Put on a Lash Show with Dior Show New Look Mascara

by xin on March 2, 2012

When I was sent a Dior Show New Look mascara to try out, I was doubtful because ever since the Maybelline Pulse Perfection, I have not discovered any mascara that really impressed me.

Dior Show New Look Mascara

Dior Show comes in a black classic tube and wrapped with a silver band with the iconic prints, it is hard not to fall in love with the details.

It is a rather huge tube with 10ml of content, compared to the other brands of usual 6ml or 7ml.

Dior Show New Look Mascara Wand

With a brilliant design, I like how the wand of the brush is even small enough for small lashes!

The tiny combs are great for the shorter lashes, especially near to the inner eye, and it can even reach the bottom lash!

My naked lash after curled, short and rather sparse.

After 2 layers of coating. It doesn’t clump your lashes, length is noticeably enhanced, but less on the volume.

It stays curled the entire day without weighing down your lashes and it’s also quite smudge-proof. However, it’s a bummer that it takes a few seconds to dry.

I went cycling with the mascara on, after sweating a bucket, only minor panda eye appeared, which is really great in my books;)

Overall, I really like this mascara as it is very easy to use. I will probably even recycle the wand for other mascaras!

If I were to think of a downside, it will be the price tag and also the drying time. In future if they have a formula for instant dry, I will be the biggest fan!

Price: RM107/10ml

Availability: All Dior counters nationwide

I absolutely love this mascara!! I have been using it every day for 1 month! The smaller tip is amazing for my lower lashes, capturing all of them without looking like spider legs. The price is a bummer, but it is Dior after all =)
About recycling the wand, it’s a great idea but can you share how you plan to disinfect it first?

I agree with what you said, it is dior after all ;) if it works and if u can afford, why not?
Usually if I recycle the wand, I will just wash it clean with makeup remover then soap, or use alcohol swab to double-cleanse it if I have. Since I am only using it on myself, it has not been an issue so far.

I’ve been pondering if I should buy this since I saw the ad! I tested the blue one in store, and I was really quite amazed by it too. But if you say it takes a bit long to dry, then that’s a minus point for me… …

I am actually willing to overlook the fact of longer drying time because I really liked the fact that it doesn’t clump and it stays curled the whole day

It looks great on you! And I like the small wand too. I have small eyes so I usually make a mess when I use big ones. :)

looks good on you, and great that it has a small brush (oh how I miss that Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara!) so this might be one to consider. :)
