During my last outing at the launch of Clarins Nude Inspirations Autumn/Winter Collection, I was given a Joli Rouge to test out.
Deciding that I have admired it enough, time for review!
This is like..the 3rd lipstick in my entire life. Can you believe it?
Swatch on hand without flash. I must admit that I didn’t fancy this color at first sight, since it looks rather plain and dark.
But I was wrong! Using on my lips is entirely different.
You know why? Not only it smells like Sugus, (the fruity chewy candy we grew up with), it the color turns out nicer on my lips too 😀
Because of my rather pale lips, it looks quite natural and rosy on my lips. Best part is, it glides on smoothly even though my lips were really dry before applying it.
With flash. But the true color looks closer to the shot without flash. Please ignore the upper lip hair.
The test:
The lasting power is actually quite good, after applying the lipstick, I started drinking water with cup, ate ice cream, then ate some snacks. Surprisingly, there is still some traces of color, it’s not completely gone like the normal lip gloss!
Now, this will also stay in my bag everyday from now onwards. 🙂
1 lipbalm, 1 lipgloss, 1 lipstick.
