Review: Maybelline New York’s Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color (Papaya Milk, Buff, Pink Bloom, Summer Sunset)

by xin on April 21, 2010

Maybelline has recently launched a new series of lipstick – The Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color.

Maybelline New York's Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color

I was given 4 of the most popular shades to try out.

From left to right > Papaya Milk, Buff, Pink Bloom, Summer Sunset.

I quite like the casing as fingerprints will not stick to the case.

The color swatch. I am loving the Pink Bloom already!

I applied lip balm prior to this lipstick application.

Papaya Milk

I have pale lips so the color is actually what I see and what I get.

Papaya Milk appears to be quite bright red.

Buff

Buff is quite a neutral shade with beige undertones, it looks like I am not wearing any lipstick.

Nudes are not my favorite shade as I prefer to see some colors on my lips.

Pink Bloom

Ah! Pink Bloom! Love the pink, reminds me of the cherry blossoms in Korea T_T.

Summer Sunset

The brightest shade among these 4 has to be this – Summer Sunset.

I think blood-red lippie is really not for me, I think I look like some geisha or vampire, and agreed by others.

Although it claims to provide smooth application, but, if your lips are really dry, you should always use a lip balm prior to application to get the smooth journey.

Color wise, it is quite long lasting for me considering the fact that it lasted about 4 hours with frequent sipping of water. (with the darkest shade of course)

Maybelline New York’s Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color are now available in stores @ RM24.90.

Which is your favorite shade of the 4?

I like buff and pink bloom. It look very nice on your lips. My lips is quite pigmented, so I don’t really like dark color lipstick.
