Mistral is a French brand, carrying a collection of body care products. Their products range from bath & shower, body care, fragrance and soap.
There are about 7 flavors of handcream, and the one I have been trying is Almond Milk. I would have picked lavender any day but looking at all the lavender products at home, I figure I should try out a new scent sometimes.
This handcream comes in a huge tube of 100ml and it will take you a long time to finish. However, due to its size, I leave it at my work desk for office use as it is too huge to be lugged around. And I quite like this packaging, the tube is similar to the toothpaste packaging and you don’t have to struggle to squeeze out the last bit like handcreams from brands Crabtree & Evelyn alike.
With shea butter as one of its main ingredients, it’s true to its claim, it’s moisturizing enough, yet it doesn’t leave you with the greasiness.
- Enriched with 20% organic shea butter
- Extracts of Arnica, Calendula & Allantoin
- Fast-absorbing, non-greasy formula
- Shea butter cream leaves the skin noticeably smoother and softer
It might seem thick but once you take a few seconds to massage into your skin, it will sink in well leaving your hands smooth and soft.
However, as much as I wish there was no ‘however’, this scent hand cream is so strong that sometimes I have to put my hands away from me or wash it off. I can’t quite describe it but the scent is strong and nauseating, which is certainly not very pleasant to the nose. But of course, I am also one who is very sensitive to scents.
Overall, I have this love-hate relationship with this hand cream. I like it for the moisturizing properties but dislike it for the scent. It’s probably worth checking out other flavors like lavender or verbena.
