Hello lovelies, I hope you have had a great weekend π My weekend activities usually involve cleaning, a lot of cleaning work.
I change my bed sheet on weekly basis, and I am not a fan of recycling my jeans, hence I am usually piled with laundry!
However, I somehow enjoy cleaning, and I find it to be really therapeutic. There’s something that I especially love doing – cleaning my bags!Β
My favorite leather care kit is from the Apple brand. No, it’s not the iPhone Apple…
Before I discovered this brand, I was using Meguiar’s leather care for cars. It served the purpose and never killed any bags.
After reading some reviews online, I decided to get a care kit from Apple, however, this isn’t available in Malaysia so I had to get it from Singapore.
It’s a straight-forward cleaner, and it doesn’t take the color off. I have tried it on all my bags in various shades, from beige, light pink, black, red, blue and green and nothing faded so far.
If it’s a new bag that you have never have it cleaned, I strongly recommend you to test it at a corner (bag base or leather bit inside the bag), just to make sure.
*NEVER use this for suede and nubuck, there is another type of cleanser for it.
As for brand new bags, I like to condition it before I use it, it really helps to avoid dirt or grime.
You can use a soft cloth, or I just buy a microfiber cloth for cleaning and polishing. It’s soft enough to not scratch the bags.
Wipe the bags gently in circular motion, if your bag is not dirty or stained, one layer of cleaning will do.
Wipe dry with another corner of the cloth. I like to let the bag sit for 5 mins before polishing.
This is how the conditioner looks like. It’s slightly sticky but it’s smooth to touch when dry.
Again, wipe it gently all over the bag, avoiding the brass/metal. Remember the bag handles too!
When you are done, you can buff it lightly with another clean corner and let it sit in a well-ventilated area to make sure it dries completely if you intend to store the bag away.
Now, you bag is soft and smooth to touch! π
Price:
Leather Cleaner – per 4 oz / 120 ml bottle: S$21.99
Leather Care – per 4 oz / 120 ml bottle: S$21.99
I would recommend to get both this in a kit of S$39.99, a little bit of saving helps! There’s a charge for shipping, butΒ it’s been 2 years since I bought this so I can’t remember the price anymore. But this is definitely ‘a little goes a long way’ product so it’s going to last you for quite a while.
Do you use any leather care kit? Or do you have anything to recommend?

You know, I’d read so much about Apple leather care I thought you found it locally! Good to know it works well. I haven’t been conditioning my bags as often as I should. Good reminder π

i wish they are available locally so we can waive the postage! but it’s worth getting because it lasts quite long judging from my frequent usage.
A few years ago I bought a set of three Apple Leather Care Kit. Two of the item is the same with yours and 3rd product is the Apple Garde Rain & Stain Repellent. All three for RM169 inclusive of PosLaju. That was when I was hardworking on protecting the bags. Now I’m so lazy hehe π
oh i have the same kit π but i hardly use the rain guard though
