A while ago, when I was sent with a sample of DiorSnow Light Amplifying Face Powder as review, I was surprised – amplifier for the face, really?
Of course, name is just a name.
New and limited edition from DiorSnow, it’s a very beautiful face powder with sparkling snowflakes on top, with 4 shades from light – to pink.
It reminds me of a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick + one of the Laneige holiday collection with snow flakes as print.
Another close-look at the pan, it looks like only the snowflakes carry shimmer while t he powder is matte.
I had a hard time deflowering this as it’s really an eye-candy. Without allowing myself with more time to consider, I quickly took a brush to dust off the first layer of sparkles before using it.
The post-dusting face powder. If you notice it closely, there is actually shimmer in the powder. But it is so fine that it will not turn you into a disco ball.
I use a big powder brush to swirl it on the pan to get an even color and apply it all over my face. You can also focus more on the face feature than you want to highlight with heavier hand.
So far I have been using it as final step of makeup after settling with a light layer of loose powder, it is similar to Guerlain Meteorites, but it’s not the same.
I notice that this Amplifying Face Powder imparts more glow than the magic balls.
You will have a natural all over glow without looking ghostly.
I have scrapped some power with my finger to show you it’s color. It looks thick because I have swatched it heavily for a couple of times for the color to show up.
However, with a light hand, it’s a very light peachy shimmer that leaves your skin glowy.
Overall, I am liking this as much as the meteorites (in jar), but I find that this travels better because it is a compact and about a palm size.
