Natural Factors RxOmega-3 Factors

Omega-3 anyone? I am sure all of us have at least heard of the word ‘Omega 3′. There have been many studies about the benefits, and also  how the people at the north pole suffer from less heart attack due to the diet consisting of fish in large quantity.

I have never thought of trying it until one period of time, I was having crazy breakout again!  I decided that maybe this might help me.

The fish oil in the pharmacies are usually pricier, and I am not really sure about which brand to get, and what’s their efficacy. So, after a friend’s recommendation and some reading on iherb.com, I decided to get 2 botltles of these to try out. It has a tone of good reviews so I supposed that it’s a reliable brand

The major benefits as are such:

  • Excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Promotes beautiful skin
  • Reduces cholesterol levels
  • Protects cardiovascular function

Promotes beautiful skin? Yes please!

Reduce cholesterol levels? Even better! I can have more crabs now ;)

It has quite a good ratio of EPA and DHA, and EPA is believed that it can help to improve mental conditions (ie suicidal thoughts). How cool!

I have been taking this supplement 3 capsules a day for more than 2 months now, and I really believe that it has helped to reduce my acne a lot, and the acne marks fade pretty quickly. However, I believe that the result is contributed by a combination of supplement and skincare.

I have also bought it for my parents too as their daily supplement. Since it’s pretty affordable, and I see good results, why not? ;)

Shipping on iherb.com is at a flat rate of USD$12 (DHL) for international shipping for purchase USD$80 and above. And it arrives in just 4 days! The best method is to share it out with friends/family.

Have you tried any fish oil? And please recommend if you have a better brand too!

Price: USD$16.17/120 soft gels

My family has been taking fish oil for yonks. Not for the skin though (I take chinese herbs, vitamin A and E for that) but for cholesterol levels and the eyes. I usually take 6 capsules a day if I am going to be working a lot on the computer as it keeps my vision from going blurry. My mum and I usually take Blackmores but my sister and dad have switched to flaxseed oil (same thing, really) instead as its more effective for their eczema. I am probably going to switch over as well once I finish my tub.

Glad that it’s working for you! I bought Nordic Naturals and I don’t think it’s working for me (and it’s so expensive -_-). It’s a complete omega supplement that has 3, 6 and 9 in it. But I think I’m getting enough 6 and 9 from my diet so it’s creating more imbalance in my system and I’m suspecting it’s even causing me acne. So I’m switching to just plain Omega 3 supp again.
