Esmeria Organics - Glasswort for Dry & Mature Skin

A while back, I was suffering from really dehydrated skin and dehydrated bank account as well trying to salvage my skin.

When I first tried my first tube of Esmeria Glasswort Moisturizing Cream for Dry and Mature skin, it still was not sufficient for my skin, and I had to top up with hydrating serum for day use.

I am glad that I was given a set of the whole Glasswort range to try out to be used together to see if it could improve my condition. In fact, I brought the whole set to New Zealand cause it was going to be cold and dry.

The combination consists of:

1. Glasswort Delicate Cleansing Lotion
2. Glasswort Comforting Toner
3. Glasswort Replenishing Moisturizing Cream

Glasswort Delicate Cleansing Lotion

Named as cleansing lotion, it is actually a cleansing milk.

Benefits: Cleanse and nourish dry and mature skin with Esmeria’s Delicate Cleansing Lotion. Gentle plant derived cleansing agents remove dirt while Mediterranean Glasswort, Peruvian Inca Inchi and Aloe Vera offer cellular support, EFA’s and a dose of hydration. This delicate combination simultanouesly improves the skin’s moisture levels and calms inflammation.

– 99.9% of the total ingredients are from Natural Origin

– 99.9% of the plant ingredients are from Organic Farming

To use: Squeeze a dollop and rub it gently on your face, then clean off with damp cloth.

As you can see, the texture is milky but not runny, so you will not have the mess of cleansing milk dripping all over the place. I prefer to wipe it off with a cotton pad or using water to cleanse it off. However, after cleansing, you can feel as if there is a layer of protection on your skin. Worry not, this does not mean that you did not wash thoroughly. I think it is a way to keep you moisturized with the barrier.

I sometimes use this for double cleansing at night too 😀

Glasswort Comforting Toner

Benefits: Tone and balance normal to combination skin with Esmeria’s Balancing Toner. Mexican Prickly Pear offers short and long term soothing effect, skin firming properties and moisturisation.  The Alpine trio of Willowherb, Butterfly Bush and Common Thyme inhibits sebum production, acts as a free radical shield and protects the skin from environmental stress.  This comprehensive combination shelters and balances.

I have no picture to show you for toner but I assume we all know how toner looks like, no? 😉

The toner is quite different from the normal toner, it is more moisturizing but it is not something like Haba Labo with  the hyaluronic acid. It does not feel sticky on the skin, but it does feel heavier than the regular toners.

I feel that it works even better if I soak up a cotton pad with it and place it on the cheeks (dehydrated area) for 15 minutes. It even helps to soothe my sun burn while I was in New Zealand!

However, the scent of the toner is stronger than the rest of products. It smells pungent and I don’t find it to be very pleasant. Thank goodness the scent is covered immediately after I apply the moisturizing cream.

Glasswort Replenishing Moisturizing Cream

Benefits: Replenish and protect dry and mature skin while you rest.  Maximise your skin’s night time repair with a bumper combination of Mediterranean Glasswort, Swiss Edelweiss, Peruvian Inca Inchi and Brazilian Acai Oil.  These ingredients work together, delivering EFA’s and antioxidants while revitalising and repairing from inside and out.  Esmeria’s Replenishing Moisturiser’s rich and powerful combination amplifies natural night time skin repair or offers extra protection for harsher conditions.

– 99.9% of the plant ingredients are from Organic Farming

Being different from the Moisturizing Cream I have tried, I was told that this is even stronger! Meaning it is more moisturizing.

Glasswort Replenishing Moisturizing Cream

Texture wise, it is definitely thicker, and stickier than the junior. But it is not oily and does not clog up pores, which is great for complicated skin like mine – combination oily with annoying black/white heads.I did not have to reapply moisturizer throughout the 12-hours wear 😀 awesome!

And over the use of 3 weeks straight, I think my skin is now back to the normal condition 🙂 And I have switched to the Pink range – Prickly Pear.

Overall, I think I am quite impressed with Esmeria Organics especially after they repackaged the products 😉

Price: Starting from RM25.90.

Availability: You can check out their facebook for the list of stockist.

It certainly will not break your bank if you would just like to ‘try’.

Glasswort… now there’s a word seldom seen in Malaysia. But if it’s cheap and effective, I’m willing to give it a shot.
