So…one day, as I was surfing on the Facebook, I came across this thing in one of those ‘facebook shops’.
It’s one of those …’face palm’ moments.
It’s actually ‘seatbelt plug’ and the description annoyed me so much that I had to share this. It was in Chinese but I loosely translated into the below:
Annoyed by the seatbelt beeping alert once you get into your car? Worry no more because your saviour is here! With such beautiful design, it glams up your car with the freedom of being seatbelt free’.
SERIOUSLY?

The seat belt annoys you? So… instead of buckling up, you are using something to fill the seatbelt pocket to silent the signal which was designed to keep you safe?
I honestly have no idea who with the right mind designed this, and whoever bought this, you are just endangering your life. And in the event of an accident, you might risk having your stomach punctured by this.
I did some googling, and was disgusted that this thing actually has been around for a while…well, if there is a demand, what are people thinking is actually really very mind boggling that it is scary.

I am in one word, DISGUSTED! Not only will they kill themselves, they might just stab themselves to death in an impact, thanks to the sticking out bit at the top. Stupid manufacturers for coming out with it and stupid people for using it.

That’s OK. These people probably don’t really deserve to live anyway. But, as long as they don’t kill others at the same time, that’s all. I mean, they can ram into a post box or a lamp post. Don’t even hit a tree, the poor tree.

there will always be people like this around, and then when real reports come in about people dying in car accident not due to the accident but due to things like this, then people will wakeup (hopefully) and see the logic of why a seatbelt is needed.
people just never seem to think of the consequences until something drastic happen, and then start blaming other parties for such inventions. without demand, there’s no supply, right? 😉

What a stupid thing to invent – I wonder when we’re going to see the first case of this coming out where the company manufacturing this gets sued for a fatal crash.
