So…I just bought the most expensive makeup item that I have ever purchased…

Look at the beautiful texture! It’s so refined that it looks almost like the real petals, except that this is matte and powdery.
This is definitely not a necessity…and it’s more like paying for the novelty. And I got sucked into it. Well, this is so pretty, of course it deserves a post on its own!
The casing itself is about RM140 (~USD$46) and the petals are RM272 (USD$90), and yes, of course you have to purchase them separately!
So yes, this is my most expensive single makeup purchase to date, and I have a feeling that it will always be.

Oh wow sister, how in the world could you EVER use this?? Oh yes, this is definitely the single most expensive piece of makeup I’ve ever purchased. It’s crazy expensive yet so beautiful. I actually bought the egg cup as well but ended up not putting the petals in it. I used it as a holder for my wedding ring and watch instead.
When I realised how ridiculous that was months later ($50 for a piece of plastic for my ring? :P), I sold it to a friend who’s been wanting the egg for ages. She was absolutely stoked when I sold her the egg. So now I only have the petals encased in plastic and I couldn’t be happier.
Have you used the petals yet? It’s gorgeous on the skin. This reminds me, I better review mine 😛

sounds like a great idea for keeping stuff in the egg but currently i have no extra place for the egg 🙁 and i am worried about knocking it off from the table. but at least you made a friend happy! 😀 i might just be using the petals in the plastic too. in fact it’s much easier to use than in the egg. i have not used the petals yet. just arrived in my hand!

Laduree blush petals look so luxurious in that vintage way… I can’t think of my most expensive makeup purchase but I do have a soft spot for Chanel eye quads but they are pretty affordable in terms of a single item….I think I would spend more on skincare. I wouldn’t spend $300 on a moisturizer but I have paid close to USD100 for an eye cream.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I was so curious that I ran a search on Mrs. Google and she returned heaps of reviews on this beautiful item. I did not know such delicate and beautiful make up item existed! Granted, there are beautifully designed palettes for blush and eye shadow, but this is many class above its peers, if any! I would not have the heart to use it because it is so so pretty. So sweet on the eyes and warms the heart, am sure once you start using it, it will bring out the best beauty in you 🙂
