All hail Evolu from New Zealand!
When I was offered to try out Evolu skincare, I was quite keen as having been to New Zealand myself, I have good impression their products already.
I have been trying out Recovery Day Cream for almost a month, and I think I have to change my perception towards cream already. Ever since I discovered facial oil, I never look back and had the thought that no moisturizer would ever work the same for me anymore. Oh boy, why do I always have to eat my own words?!
Comes in a 75ml tube, I like that it is easy to use, simple and no mess. I dislike products in a jar because of the possible contamination from dirty fingers.
Evolu products come in quite a few range – from normal, oily, combination, depleted, and dry or sensitive skin. It is quite an extensive range that can target different skin conditions, since I have dry skin, the best that suits me will be ‘sensitive and dry skin’.
This light yet enriching cream delivers daily relief for skin suffering persistent sensitivities and problem dryness. Targetted botanical actives balance lasting rehydration with anti-inflammatory skin-calming benefits, in an effective blend that will soothe irritation, reduce redness and replenish your skin鈥檚 natural reserves of moisture.
Indeed. It feels light but somehow it is moisturizing enough for my day use when I am in air-conditioned room most of the time. The main ingredients are such as kawakawa (it’s a plant), geranium, borage seed oil, vitamin E, patchouli, lemon oil, and kiwi fruit seed oil. All these listed ingredients are great help for repairing and soothing dry and agitated skin.
I usually only use a dollop for the entire face, it’s a absorbed quick quickly without leaving any greasiness behind. Unlike facial oil, this is lighter, yet moisturizing enough.
The full ingredient list for this day cream.
Evolu products are free from paraben, mineral oils, phthalates, sulfates, artificial colors or fragrance, or animal products other than beewax. Honestly, I am not really fussed with the ingredients as long as I am not allergic to them. But, it’s good to know that my skin also loves natural product like this.
Price: RM232/75ml

I’m not really surprised that I like the evolu moisturiser (mine’s in the balancing formula) because I’ve been having a really good run with NZ products lately, especially the organic/natural ranges. I would love to try out more from them but the prices are a little steep.
