Feeling Light On the Skin: Dior Snow UV Shield BB Cream SPF 50 PA+++ Review

Dior Snow UV Shield BB Cream SPF 50 PA+++

Fancy any BB cream? I remember those day when I fancied the Skin79 BB creams, however, I eventually grew out of it because I find that most of the BB creams are either too thick, or too grey for me. I think my skin must have looked thicker back in those days when BB cream suddenly became a hit ;)

I have never tried any BB cream until recently when I was sent a tube of Dior Snow UV Shield BB Cream SPF 50 PA+++  to try out.

It comes in a plastic tube in a pump – it’s awesome because you don’t have to worry about breaking the glass bottle or risk any leakage. It’s travel friendly, and slips into your makeup pouch easily too. There were a few occasions when I depot-ed foundation from glass bottle into tiny travel bottle, the remaining foundation dried up after about a month, which can be quite a waste especially you don’t use the tiny bottle anymore after your travel.

I think this is the lightest shade currently, it is creamy and easy to spread. It has some rosy scent that disappears quite quickly once you blend it out. A little goes a long way so always start with little!

I didn’t like this foundation initially because I found it to be too light and it felt heavy on the skin. After the BB cream settled down on my skin, I find that it blends evenly with my skin tone, and it felt light again!

It gives a pearly  finish and the coverage is medium. Might not be enough if you are used to heavy-duty foundation.

See how it blends into skin?

It evens out the redness and does not oxidize. I am wary foundation that oxidizes because it just makes people look dull and dark. I remember those days when I had not much knowledge about makeup, I used to wonder why I looked 2 toned darker by the end of the day ;)

Contains Oxybenzone

Overall Thoughts:

I am quite liking this BB cream for the convenience and also the pearly finish it gives. It has a SPF50 PA+++ which is quite a plus point. If it looks too light on you, let it sit for a while and check again.

No doubt, it doesn’t come cheap. If you have been looking for a light weight BB cream, and have no issue with price tag, you may want to check this out ;)

I’ve tried this before and thought it was not bad but didn’t get it in the end. Think I am over the bb cream craze now. I must say it does suit your skin very well.

I have read (and heard) that the Dior Snow UV Shield BB Cream is known for its lightweight-ness! So yeah, if price tag is not an issue and you dont’ want to feel your Sunscreen, I guess, this is the one? Thanks sis!

There is a Liole one that comes in purple tone, not grey. =)

I don’t think I’ll be tempted to try Western BB Creams any time soon.

ooh looks like Liole is a popular brand now. I can’t recall which product from Liole I have used, but it didn’t really impress me

*curious*
which do u think is better? this or the laneige spongy bb cream???

I prefer the coverage of lanegie snow BB cushion, and the ease of application. However, I think the laneige probably won’t last as long as this, mine is drying up soon!

Woo. This ain’t cheap, you’re right. I think I’ll stick with the Lioele BB cream. I’ve been wanting to try out the Skin79 one but it’s always sold out at Watsons!

I was shocked the first time I bought a Diorsnow product — it was their face sunscreen. Not sure if you’ve tried it, too? I think I bought it for SGD$88. I actually kinda liked it but I guess it wasn’t strong enough for me ’cause it was also around that time that I started developing heavy pigmentations on my face.
